Time for a new post!
Today I have a Khopesh, an ancient Egyptian weapon that (according to Wikipedia, hah) evolved from the battle-axe. I've always been fascinated by this weapon and its' odd curved blade, so I thought I'd give sculpting one a shot. Went for a worn, beat-up, stylized look. This was made solely in Zbrush 4R7. Enjoy!
EDIT: Here's a little turntable for the project.

Hey guys! Welcome to my newly refurbished webpage!
As I'm delving back into the wonderful world of hard surface modeling, I thought I'd get acquainted with Zbrush 4r7's brand-spanking new ZModeler tool-set. The ZModeler is an amazing new set of manipulators that allow artists to model in Zbrush outside of the usual free-form sculpting process, and the result is something more akin to a faster Maya-esque modeling tool, with the intuitive controls of Zbrush. Excited? You bet I am. The topic of weapons, particularly firearms, always seems to come up when we're talking about hard surface modeling, and so I thought I'd add a few to my collection. ....and what better way to begin than with a traditional "noob tube"?
Hoping to finish this piece as soon as possible. I'll post again as soon as I have a textured version!
